In 2017 we were honoured to work with one of Hertfordshire's top-rated tourist attractions.
British Schools Museum is more than just a museum. It is a community hub offering a variety of activities to local people, as well as regularly refreshed exhibits, and a cafe.
It is truly a one-of-a-kind venue, as the last remaining Monitorial Schoolroom in the world, so we knew we had to design something that really captures the essence of schooling history.
Powered by Umbraco CMS, the website has great flexibility to change in the future, and support ongoing activity at the museum throughout the calendar year.
Increasing traffic & footfall
Our ultimate goal in this project was to raise the online profile of the museum, to support its appearance on other channels such as TripAdvisor, and attract more visitors.
At the time of writing, BSM sits top of the list for days out in Hitchin, and ranks highly for museum related searches on Google. Their social media accounts are buzzing with activity, as the museum continues to deliver a great experience to locals and visitors.
